      <image:title>PROJECTS - BLD RESTAURANT</image:title>
<image:caption>Location: 36 Toronto St.; Toronto, ON Area: 148m2 (1600 sq.ft.) Located at the South-West corner of Adelaide and Toronto Street within a heritage building, the design was approached with a modern sensibility while respecting historical elements. The main challenge was to integrate a Main Dining Area with Bar, Private Dining and the BLD Express along with designing the kitchen and back-of-house while at the same time providing all-day functionality offering full breakfast, lunch and dinner. By successfully designing and integrating all requirements within a mere 148m2 (1600 sq.ft.) space, the designer did not neglect the opportunity of sustainable practice by seamlessly utilizing materials such as bamboo veneers, low VOC paints, refinishing the existing concrete floor and using natural and/or recyclable materials. Low voltage lighting and energy-conscious equipment became part of the mandate to further lower operating costs without compromising the overall design. Taking the design approach to its fullest, the logo for BLD, input into cutlery and package design for the BLD express takeout.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Location: 4310 Sherwoodtowne Blvd.; Mississauga, ON Area:123 m2 (1323 sq.ft.) A healthy lifestyle through juicing is the foundation of The Cold Pressery among other nutritious and gluten-free offerings. Situated in the ever-growing and developing city of Mississauga, The Cold Pressery is truly one of the first fresh organic cold pressed (raw) juice establishments to open within this city. To promote a healthy lifestyle, it was clearly necessary to include sustainable finishes such as reclaimed wood and concrete throughout various areas of the juice bar in order to create a healthy and raw-inspired interior environment. Enhancing the comfortable and inviting space, the owners of The Cold Pressery created and devised a feature wall of Mississauga's cityscape which was drawn by hand over a two week period. Technology was also considered as patrons can easily plug in their mobile devices throughout the space or make use of the provided tablets, situated at the window bar seating area.</image:caption>

      <image:title>PROJECTS - SIGNATURES RESTAURANT</image:title>
<image:caption>Location: Intercontinental Hotel Yorkville, 220 Bloor St. West, Toronto, ON Area: 245m2 (2640 sq.ft.)   With InterContinental’s intention to update its restaurant within the hotel situated in Toronto’s exclusive Yorkville neighbourhood, the Designer was retained to transform Signature’s into an elegant, comfortable dining venue fusing contemporary design with a ‘farm-to-table’ approach set forth by the resident Chef. As part of the brief was to create flexibility, the Designer took into consideration the client-base being the modern traveler alongside its wide use from local and international business people alike. Expanding on flexibility, varying types of seating and environments were introduced that range from semi-private booth seating, communal tables that can be easily joined together to create larger dining experiences as well as banquet seating for single diners. With an area that provided an existing sunken room off to the side, the Designer took advantage of this full length additional area by creating a more relaxed form of dining and turned it into a lounge-dining area, flooded by natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the private outdoor seasonal terrace: Sky Lounge; a perfect setting to enjoy all year round. Furthermore, part of the Chef’s mandate was to share the cooking experience. By transforming the existing bar that was hidden and strictly utilitarian, the Designer opened up the bar by providing a more inviting, curved sitting area where not only your favourite drink can be experienced yet providing dual duty where culinary classes can be held alongside varying offerings for diners to partake in. For those more private dining moments, small group meetings or special occasions, an exclusive room tucked quietly in the corner of the restaurant is the private dining room. With an overall eclectic feel, the space was created with an invitational experience by using soft and elegant finishes, warm and textured materials along with varying lighting moods offering flexibility in order to create that perfect dining experience. From custom signage, tables, seating and lighting, the overall dining experience became an instant hit as one of the go-to dining places, providing a seasonal farm-to-table menu.</image:caption>

      <image:title>PROJECTS - LOFT</image:title>
<image:caption>Location: Toronto, ON Area: 153m2 (1650 sq.ft.) Located in Toronto Canada, the Client for this particular private one-bedroom loft residence occupies two floors. The request was to design a space without minimal walls, keeping the space as open as possible and to accentuate linearity. GABOR delivered an interior by placing the utility spaces towards the entrance of the space which allowed the areas used for relaxing and entertaining open and airy, towards the double-height full-glazed wall. The extension of the living space leads to a main floor balcony where the design language continues to the exterior, maintaining the notion that the interior and exterior are considered a sum of the parts. This philosophy is further enhanced through the built-in mill-work, fixture placement and furnishings.  </image:caption>

With its increase in popularity, TIFF opened and established a new address where they could house movie theatres, restaurants, galleries and a retail location. <image:title>PROJECTS - NUVANGO HEADQUARTERS</image:title>
<image:caption>Location: 2738 Dundas St. W.; Toronto, ON Area: 385m2 (4,150 sq.ft.) Corporate does not always mean design "corporate-like". Paying homage to the lofty space the 2-storey building offered, the studio was retained to extend the artistic spirit that Nuvango is known for and provide common zones where teams could eat, play and enjoy the working environment where imagination and inventiveness flourish. The Clients also wanted to create a warm and inviting interior to which the Designer used lighting that was reminiscent of the old school lights from their original glass mould. Track-lighting was also integrated which further accentuated the company's freedom, allowing them to move lighting where and when needed, so as to showcase changing art throughout the spaces. The communal kitchen was designed using durable materials such as stainless steel for the counter-tops and cabinet facades along with providing stainless steel appliances. To warm up the environment, a reclaimed counter was installed on the peninsula bar where a draft beer fridge was hidden under it, providing a draft pump above for those "corporate get-togethers." The use of reclaimed wood for the shelving above the work area in the kitchen and both bathrooms along with the use of plumber-pipe fasteners created a more industrial feel reminiscent of the buildings history.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Location: Pudong (Lujiazui) Shanghai, China Area: Building A, Building B, Building C Lujiazui Fortune Mansion is located in Pudong New Area, that borders the core region of Lujiazui. The strong ART DECO language of the Architecture guided the inspiration of this interior. The design recalls a vintage East Berlin atmosphere, using modern techniques and materials to honor the elegance and the beauty of the Classic style. When entering the main lobby, the rigid symmetry of the elevations in gold metal meshes provides a gentle luxurious touch, enhancing the space with a combination of texture and reflections. The geometric design of the marble floor is a homage to vintage European nostalgia while combining modern, minimal ceiling techniques to the coffered ceiling.</image:caption>
